Okay, but let’s run with that and see where the logic trail leads us: if they are J2 fans, why do they hate Misha? I mean, Misha makes comments about J2 naked oily wrestling or them being real-life lovers or “If Jensen had gotten Jared pregnant” etc. I can understand why they would be uninterested in Misha or dislike his character, but they actually pretty much hate him. I mean, they do seem threatened by him.

It’s EXACTLY because they feel threatened. The meteoric rise of Destiel’s popularity among slash fans has unavoidably led to the increasing prevalence of Cockles, and that upsets them greatly. Why? Because they firmly BELIEVE in strictly monogamous relationship between J2 and cannot even bear to think that there’re so many delusional people fantasizing about Misha with either of them - ICK! as if he could ever stand a chance! J2 is not fantasy, it’s TRUFAX. How dare you disgusting what’s-his-name taint J2’s One True Love by existing in J2’s social circles! How dare you even comment on J2’s Holy True Love you filthy and loathsome being!

See, you really can’t go with logic on this sort of things. If logic can be applied here, there wouldn’t be any wank. Always go for the extreme and RAGE. Always.

I’m still not sure what spnsilentmajority is campaigning for. I mean, I understand that they want the show’s focus to be more on Sam and Dean’s relationship, like it was in earlier seasons. I get that. But the reason the show focused more on their relationship was because Sam and Dean were in conflict back then. And spnsilentmajority doesn’t seem to like the part of Season Seven in which Sam and Dean were in conflict. So *epic shrug*

My current theory is that the people who run spnsilentmajority dislike the slashy turn that the show has taken recently, especially between Dean and Cas. I don’t think they prefer Wincest over Destiel; but it’s easier to rationalize Wincest-y moments as a brotherly love thing, and more difficult to do that with Dean and Castiel, because they’re not first-degree relatives. I don’t really have any evidence to back up this supposition, aside from one anonymous message I received and a general impression I got from some comments left at spn_gossip which expressed frustration for “Destiel fanservice.” 

Nah, I’m afraid you’re being too rational and sane here. What they want is in fact painfully simple: they just want to see J2 together ALL THE TIME. That’s their core motive. If they can’t ever have a reality TV show about J2’s One True Love, at least let them have a pseudo sci-fi show about Sam&Dean’s Epic (Brotherly) Love DAMMIT!!

I agree, but also remember that you can’t make it seem that it’s coming from here. People from tumblr hate this place, even now they will be a look out for any petion of some sort because they will know it originated from here. So who ever is going to do this, should do it right, there are a lot of silent bro fans who are very aggravated with things, but the thing is they are silent about it because they are afraid of the backlash they would get. Tumblr is like a popularity thing, every person cherishes the followers they have and they don’t want to lose those followers, and they also don’t want to show their true colors and want to maintain peace. so, it will be difficult, but somebody should do it.

Oh yeah, I enjoy spying on there too whenever I’ve got some free time on my hands. Those spn-gossip people are so fucking entertaining. I discovered that place early this year through Fandom Wank, and LOL what an eye-opener! Yep yep yep J2 are gay gay gay, the wives fake fake fake and Misha hate hate hate. Feel the massive manpain! Weep for all the angst! So much oppression, so many tears! It’s THE tragic love story of the 21st century! etc. etc.
